‘Bystander’ to go on screen at Ciné-Lettres D’Agadir

Iranian short animation ‘Bystander’ has been selected to go on screen at the 2nd edition of the Festival Universitaire International Ciné-Lettres D’Agadir in Morocco.

Directed by Sheyda Kashi, the Iranian animation will be screened at the main competition section of the event.

‘Bystander’ is a cinematic depiction of society that does not accept differences and is heading for annihilation.

It is about an old man who is living behind a window from where he sees a dark world and remembers his past when he was an active revolutionary.

The 8-minute animation recently won the second prize in the animation or experimental film section of the 21st edition of the Faludi International Youth Film Festival and Photo Competition in Hungary.

It was previously screened at film events in Romania as well as the 4th Tehran International Animation Festival and the 15th edition of the Tirana International Film Festival in Albania.

Iranian short animated piece is also scheduled to go on screen at the 3rd International Cefalu Film Festival in Italy.

The 2nd edition of the Festival Universitaire International Ciné-Lettres D’Agadir is slated for May 10-12, 2018.
